3. After clicking, a new page will open and it will show you your smart t.v name

4. Then click on it and your phone will get connected

Lets explore the Mobile communications how does a mobile phone work how you can hear or how someone can hear you from across world just in seconds. Let’s talk about how does it work. When ever u speak on you phone your voice is picked up by yours phone micro phone. The micro phone turns your voice into a digital signal with the help of mems sensor and i.c. The digital signal contains your voice in the form of zero and one’s. And then antenna receives these zeroes and one’s and turns into an electronic wave, antenna transmit those digital voice into electronic waves (electromagnetic waves). Electromagnetic waves transmit the zeros and one’s by altering the wave characteristics such as the amplitude frequency phase or combinations of these. For example in the case of frequency zero & one. Zero and one are transmitted by using low and high frequencies respectivally

So if you could find a way to transmit these electromagnetic waves to your friends phone you would be able to establish a call. However electromagnetic waves are cable of traveling a long distance path. They loss their strength due to physical object, electrical equipment and some environmental factors. In fact if their were no such issues even then electronic wave would not carry on forever, due to the earths curved structure. To over come these issues Cell towers were used in the concept of cellular technology. In cellular technology a geographical area is divided into hexagonal cells with each cell having its own tower frequencies slot, Generally these cell towers are connected through wires or more specifically optical fibre cabels. These optical fibre cables are laid under the ground or the ocean to provide the national or international connectivity.

The electromagnetic waves produced by your phone are picked up by the tower in your cell and converts them in high frequency light pulses. These light pulses are carried to the base transceiver box located at the base of the tower for further signal processes. Base Transceiver controls communications links, radio frequency amplifier, radio frequency combiner. After processing your voice signal is headed towards your destination tower, upon receiving the pulses the destination tower radiated it to out wards in the form of electromagnetic waves. And your friend phone then receives signal. This signal goes under reverse process and your friend hears your voice.

So its true that mobile communications are not entirely wire less. They do use a wire medium too. This is how mobile communications are carried out. However, their is a big issue that we intentionally left on answered. Mobile Comminication is only successful when your tower transfer the signal to your friend tower, but how to know in which cell tower your friend is located. Well for this process cell tower gets help from something called Mobile Switching Center (MSC). The MSC is the central point of group of cell towers before moving further you must know about what actually the MSC is and how does it work. When ever you purchase a sim card, All the subscription information is registered in a specify MSC. This MSC will be your home MSC. The home MSC stores information such as service plans your current location and your activity standard. If you move outside the range of your home MSC. The MSC which serve you instead is known as foreign MSC.

As you enter a foreign MSC region it communicates with your home MSC. In short your home MSC always know in which MSC area you are in. To understand in which cell location the subscriber is within the MSC area. The MSC uses a few techniques. One way to update the subscriber location after a certain period. When the phone crosses the predefined number of towers, The locations update is again done. The last one of these is when the phone is turned on. Let’s understand this with an example. Suppose Dikshu wants to call sahil. When Dikshu dials Sahil’s number, the call request arrives at Dikshu home MSC. Upon receiving sahils number the request will be forwarded to the sahil’s home MSC. Now Sahil home MSC will check his current MSC. If sahil is in his home MSC. The call request will immediately be send to his current cell location and it checks wheather the sahil is engaged to another call or the phone is switched off. If every thing is positive Sahil phone rings and the call will be connected. This way they can talk to each other in any possible way regarding Pubg game or may be regarding the game play. However, if Sahil is not in his home MSC. Sahil’s home MSC will simply forward the request to foreign MSC. The foreign MSC will follow the previously explained procedure to locate sahils phone and will establish the call.

Frequency Spectrum

In todays world each subscriber is allocated in frequency range. However, the frequency spectrum available or cellular communications is quite limited and their are a billion of subscribers this issue is solved with the help of two technologies.

1. Frequency Slot Distribution

2. Multiple Access Technique

In the first technique different frequency slots are carefully allocated to different cell towers. And in the multiple access techniques this frequency slot is efficiently distributed amoungst all the active users in the cell area. Now the big question is Why are their different generation phone technologies First generation originally allows users for the first time to carry a phone without a cable attached to it but this first generations (1G) suffered from two major problems. The first problem was the wireless transmission was in an analog signal format. Analog signals are easily altered by external sources so it provided the poor voice quality and poor security too.

The second problem was that it used the frequency division multiple access technique which used the available spectrum in any efficient way. These factors pay the waves for the 2nd generation mobile communication (2G). 2G used digital multiple access technologies namely TDMA (Timen Division MultiPle Access) and CDMA (Code Division Multiple access) technology. The 2nd Generation also introduced a revolutionary data service sms and internet browsing. Then comes the 3G generation (technology) which was focused on giving a high data transfer speed it used WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) technique along with in increasing band width to achieve this the 3G speed of 2 Mbps allow the transfer of data for uses such as Gps videos voice calls etc. 3G was a huge step in the transformation of the basic phone to a smart phone.

Next came the 4G which achieves speed of 20 to 100 Mbps. This was suitable for high resolution movies videos and television. This higher speed was made possible due to the OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) and many more technology. The next generation 5G will be rolled out soon. And will use enhanced technology and millimeter waves. It will provide seamless connectivity to support the internet of things such as driver less car and smart homes. This is what Smart Technology is all about
